Quicktime - Found: nothing

Hi,
I've only just started using AI so this is probably a very simple problem.

I want to install Quicktime as a prerequisite but it's not working properly.

I've just tested my installer on my computer which has Quicktime Installed but the Prerequisites Wizard says 'Found: Nothing'
It also says it's looking for version 1.0 but I specified 6.0.
It runs the QuickTime installer ok - which I've included in the package but once that runs it still says the prerequisites haven't been met.

Hope someone can show me where I'm going wrong.

Thanks, SteveO

Re: Quicktime - Found: nothing

I've just managed to create a search so that the installer runs fine if quicktime is there however...

I've set the search to look for Quicktime in the program files folder - is there a more reliable search for when Quicktime has been moved somewhere else?

If I uninstall Quicktime then reinstall it when prompted by the Prereqisites wizard it still says 'Some prerequisites could not be installed'.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please note that a prerequisite should use a correct Install Condition in order to be detected correctly. The User Guide contains a tutorial which may help you.
