Re: Surface Theme Border

I'm experiencing the same problem with the Black Surface theme. I've tried tips in this post and updated my professional version to 10.2 and I still get the same problem. To be honest I only updated the maintenance to solve this problem and it didn't resolve the problem. What am I missing?

Is there a way to Stop a running service during an update?

I have a windows service that I need to update periodically. However, if the service is running when updating you get prompted to stop the service. Is there a way to Stop the service using the update?

Help is always appreciated.

Re: When Updating my Windows Service I get Modify, Repair, R

I tried creating a new update and that didn't resolve the issue, however checking "Delete the downloaded update package file after installation" did solve the problem. I'm a little confused why I haven't had to do this with my other applications, but I'm happy to have a solution and I thin...

How do I transmit a prerequisite along with an update?

Updates have been working perfectly for a year. However we now have a new prerequesite. Specifically the new Crystal Reports .msi file (CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1.msi). I've tried using a URL location for this prerequesite but I keep getting a message "the filename, directory name, or volume label ...

Uninstalling Prerequisites

Is there any way to trigger the uninstall of any prerequisites that are distributed with the MSI when the user uninstalls the primary application?

Re: Can't create WOW6432Node Entries

Since I posted my issue I have discovered why it won't write to the WOW6432Node of the registry. There is already an entry of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/[Manufacturer]" which is fine, except it's permissions do not allow the administrator to add subkeys, delete, etc. Just the "SYSTE...

Can't create WOW6432Node Entries

I can't seem to get entries (Keys or values) to show up in the WOW6432Node under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/WOW6432Node on a VISTA 64 OS. My application is a 32 bit app developed with VB.NET and I have set the package type to 32-bit package and the registry items in Organization are NOT set to 64 b...
