Hi everyone, We have a Suite Installation that installs about 5 applications. One product is selected by default. After building the project with AI 11.9, only the default selected product is installed. If I deselect that only feature, nothing gets installed. There's no error message, the installati...

Hi Dan, XML Search on what file? We don't store this information, host name and port number, on web.config. Re: Keep web.connfig settings from an older install path

Hi Dan, I have another question. My web application installer has a custom dialog where the user can enter the host name and port, values that are used in Server\IIS menu to specify the HTTP bindings for the new site that the installer creates. On an update scenario, can I retrieve these values from...

Keep web.connfig settings from an older install path

Hi all, I have an installer for a web application. I request some information from the user in installer UI and we're saving this data in the web.config using Advanced Installer functionality for XML files (linking appSettings nodes to properties). Hi Daniel, Related to the issue described here I've done some investigation and I have a question. My setup creates a registry key like: HKLM\Software\<Company_Name>\<Product_Name>\<Component_Name>. At install, the registry key above has some registry values. On the <Component_Name> key, in Advanced...

Re: Delete registry key if empty on uninstall

Hi Daniel,

I've used "Inline script code" custom action with VB script in the end.
It works!

Thanks for your reply/suggestions!
