For info I recreated the installer pretty much from new (I used a backup) and that seems to have worked. However I do not actually know what the issue was in the first place.
I get this error - I only changed an exe in the installer to a newer version.
Could not write value Registry.Name.FAA_5658_49AA_A41D_71074C8A5006 to key \Registry.Key.ProductVersion_1. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
It may not be clear in my previous post, however when you double click on the file associated file it opens the application correctly but does not then process the command to perform the action on the file. It should open a window.
Hi, we have cloned a previous installer file for use with a new product and we have added a couple of file associations. i.e. Double click and opens the application passing the filename. Pretty standard stuff I added an extension pointing it to the application I want to run it e.g. Command = APPDIR\...
