Re: Updater doesn't work while looking for https-URL

Thank you Daniel for all the support. The user agent "AdvancedInstaller" is allowed at the server. Now I found the cause of this error and can fix it. The reason is placed in my .htaccess file at the web server. I've changed the Rewrite conditions and rules from RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^...

Chained Package not uninstalled during Maintenance-Mode

Hello Forum, I have various chained packages which the Setup installs based on conditions. The conditions are controlled by checkboxes (they have the value "checked" (not default) Install-Condition for chained package AAA is: ( CHK_AAA ) OR ( CHK_AAA = "checked" ) Uninstall-Condi...

Re: looking to add registry keys if another registry key exi

- If you want your registry search to use 64-bit location, then you should go to "Table Editor" page and select "AI_AppSearchEx" table. Here select the row containing KEY_SEARCH property and set the "Platform" field to 1 . Thank you Daniel, this also Works for me.

Re: AppSearch before PrepareDlg

Hi Eusebiu, thanks for the Hint to look in the Table Editor Which I had not been used to make adjustments. The "AppSearch" entry had a lower value than my Dialog, but the "AI_AppSearchEx" Action not. Since I've changed the Sequence value from "AI_AppSearchEx", it works ...

Search doesn't work during Maintenance

Hi,

I have 3 (registry) searches during my Setup that work fine.
For the maintenance I have created some custom dialogs where I need the result value of this Searches, but it doesn't work.
There comes no result during the maintenance.

What could I do that my idea works?

Greetings,
Peter

Re: Installed files are always compressed, no copy/move possible

I think now I know what the problem is. In my TempFolder I have some Subfolders that must be synchronized with a folder on my Harddisk. Because of this reason, the Files in the TempFolder (and Sub-Folders) were not "Temporary files". I have found that this was discussed in 2014 here: http:...

Re: Installed files are always compressed, no copy/move possible

Okay, I've done one more Test. 1. I've installed normally, so that my files will be temporary stored in the TempFolder 2. I've copied the files manually (With Win-Explorer) from the TempFolder to my Desktop 3. I've uninstalled the package 4. the TempFolder is now empty, so I've copied the Files from...

Installed files are always compressed, no copy/move possible

Hi, I use Advanced Installer 8.5 during my installation there where some files first copied to the "TempFolder" (Windows) and depending on the Users choice these Files should be copied/moved to another Folder (not the APPDIR). The installation into the TempFolder works. But it doesn't work...

Re: Updating registry path based on property

Hi Eusebiu,

many thanks to you.
I've changed my Property from [Laenderkennung] to [LANG_CODE] and now it seems to be a public property.
It works!

Greetings,
Peter
