Re: FolderDlg Not matching Designer

I changed it from "Only on install" to "Always (install, uninstall and maintenance)" Still doesn't show what I am seeing in the designer. My labels don't show, and the disk space is still showing.

FolderDlg Not matching Designer

Version 16.6.1 For some reason the FolderDlg looks different in installer running vs the designer (see attached). I turned the tracking disk space off. Also the labels I have on there are not showing and the header looks different. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Jason Installer.jpg Designe...

Check Folder Path has Write and Display Error

I have expanded the standard folder selection screen to also have another field for Data Folder. Under Published Events I added a "Check if a folder path has write permissions" that checks the folder and the screen doesn't continue if the user doesn't have write permissions. However, I wan...

Call Web API to validate Customer No

I have an installer where one of the screens the user enters their Customer No. I would like to do a web API call to validate the customer no to make sure it is valid before I continue with the install. SQL Server Browser Check selected Version

In the installer I have the SQL Server instance browser so they can select and instance/DB and enter credentials. Can I also check at that point to make sure it is SQL 2016 or higher?

Thanks,
Jason

Remembering Previous Install Values

In my installer I have the user select a sql server and then on the next screen enter the location for SSRS so that we can deploy SSRS report designs. When the user comes back to install a new version I would like to default these values to what they were for the previous install. Sometimes the SSRS...

SSRS - Datasource - SQL Username and Password

I am setting up a new SSRS datasource in the deployment and want to set the database username and password to connect as. Is there a way to do it in the newest versions? The posts I found were a couple users old. I don't want to use Window Authentication for connection.

Thanks,
Jason
