Well, there is no understanding from my part, it seems to be a case of bad business morale and some what of an attempt of forcing users to pay for an expensive upgrade on a system that, from my point of view, doesn't need to be upgraded!!!
Very disappointing....

We have uptill now been using this feature running in version 17.6, and this is not working for that version either... This is very disappointing that breaking changes is being implemented in the Azure tasks, thus disregarding all the older versions, particularly when application and project version...

Issue is apparently not with Visual Studio, but with the AIP-file.
If creating a new AI project, all the mentioned issues go away...
Just thought Id' mention that, since out AI-project file was created with AI17.1, upgraded to 17.3 and then to 17.4...

Adv. Installer Extension version 17.4
Visual Studio 2019 version 16.7.2
I think Issue may have arisen after a Visual Studio update?
