Keep Product Code when setting Version

Hi, when I set a new version in the AI UI and save the project, it gives me a message box asking me if I want to generate a new Product Code (for Major Upgrades) or keep the existing one (for Patches). The second is what I want. However, when trying to automate my installer updates with a Powershell...

Re: Dated look of UI with classic theme

Hello Catalin, you are correct, "SetupTypeDialog" works. I also tried some of the other dialogs and I think what I will do is use a "FolderDlg" followed by an "OptionalFeatsDlg". This seems to work with MSI and can replace my "ConfigureDlg" with the tabs. Than...

Re: Dated look of UI with classic theme

Hi Catalin, thanks again for the answer. 1. I would expect that if the "Enhanced User Interface" is activated, an MSI does not build. The way it is now, it builds without errors, but results in a faulty installer. I'm sure you'll agree that's not optimal. 2. I did not actually choose a tab...

Re: Dated look of UI with classic theme

Hi Catalin, thanks for the answer. I find that a bit surprising, I would have assumed that MSI would use resources from the underlying OS rather than embedding its own old dialogs. But if that's the way it is, then that's the way it is. ;) One other question, I noticed that even the feature list doe...

Dated look of UI with classic theme

Hi, Some UI elements of the classic theme look like straight out of Windows 3.11, like the icons and gradient on the feature selection, or even the "Info" MessageBox icon. The border of the MessageBox looks broken, too. See attachments. featureList.png messageBox.png Until recently we used...

Re: Updated AI project requires Enterprise License - why?

Hi Liviu, thanks for your answer. I have sent the file as requested. Looking at it in a text editor, it indeed says Modules="enterprise" So I guess I could just change that, but I assume it's not that easy and I don't want to end up with a somehow inconsistent/broken file. I guess it's not...

Updated AI project requires Enterprise License - why?

Hi all, we have recently purchased some Professional Licenses for the current AI as we had been using the ancient Version 9.8 until recently. Preliminary tests have shown that the Professional License covers our use cases. However, I have found that we have one single project which converts to an En...
