Thank you for the quick reply.

As you noticed, my app has a lot of files that I have already setup under the "Program Files" section. Is there any quick way to move the whole collection from "Program Files" to "Application Folder"?

It is not so much the Merge Module but the fact that <all> of the regular install files are getting installed in the default directory "MyApp" even when the user enters "App" as the directory to be installed into. I had mentioned the Merge Module module only to show that somewher...

FolderDlg choice doesn't change Install Dir.

I had been testing using my default install directory as entered in the Install Parameters -> Installation Folders -> Applicataion Folder text box so I hadn't noticed this behavior until now. Let's say the entry in the text box above is [ProgramFilesFolder]MyApp During installation, if the user chan...

Oh, I see that the uninstall icon was for one of my shortcuts. I had seen the Caphyon directory and assumed that it was an icon used by Advanced Installer for maybe when the user goes to Add/Remove Programs. I don't think that I would have ever manually typed in such a long path. I keep all of my ic...

You mention browsing the "Edit Shortcut Properties" but I can find that dialog. Where is this?

I was able to edit the .aip file with note pad and change the 5.1.1 reference to 5.2 and that fixed the problem.

No telling why the old reference sayed in after the update, however.

Vista install ends prematurely

My AI 5.1 and now 5.2 compilation will install on an XP machine but when I try to install it on a Vista machine I get "...Setup Wizard ended prematurely." The only thing that I see in AI that is Vista specific is Bootstrapper - Security - Execution Level which I have as Invoker. What else ...

Updated to 5.2 but installer now can't find files in 5.1

I had 5.1 and just updated to 5.2. Now, when I compile, I get the error Creating MSI database... error. Exception - Reason: File [C:\Program Files\Caphyon\Advanced Installer 5.1.1\resources\uninstall.ico] could not be read. I even went so far as to copy the 5.2 resources to the 5.1 folder that was s...

Compressed File Size

I've been a long time user of InstallShield but am looking to change. My IS version is old and so I need a new installer one way or the other. I've been very happy with what I have seen of AI and was just about ready to go with it except for one question. My application is distributed via the web so...
