Re: Web Site Browse

Hello Jose, Thank you for the provided project. I have tested it and everything worked as expected on my end (a clean Windows 10 machine). Here are the test websites I've got in IIS Manager: IIS.png When the setup was launched, you can see that all 3 websites were inserted into the ComboBox control ...

Re: Multiple folder dialogs

Hello Andy, I am afraid that it is not possible to achieve that using the Professional version. Anything related to creating and editing dialogs is only available through our "Dialog Editor" feature, which is available starting with the Enterprise suite. Please let me know if you have any ...

Re: How do I determine if an inline powershell script has been blocked or simply failed

Hello tr, The PS process was easy though and could be used to embed logic that might not run if C# isn't installed. You are indeed right, PowerShell is a little bit easier, especially on the implementation side. However, I am pretty positive that you can achieve through a C# custom action everything...

Re: cmd generate Productcode + BuildID's iterate

Hello and welcome to Advanced Installer forums, In what regards the BuildIDs, please note that this is against Windows Installer ICE24 which recommends only digits to be used for the ProductVersion property. The value of the ProductVersion property is the version of the product in string format. Thi...

Re: License error

Hello Ionut, The only thing that might influence this is the maintenance which is expired. This indeed could be a problem if you did not mention the Advanced Installer version covered by your Maintenance Plan: https://www.advancedinstaller.com/user-guide/tutorial-vsts-custom-build.html#section643 Ho...

Re: Import Visual Studio Project Exception calling

Hello and welcome to our forums, Please note that my colleague also mentioned about registering those two DLLs. In the meantime, can you register the assemblies below to the GAC and see if it works for you? gacutil -i "C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\3.1.401\Sdks\Microsoft.NET.Sdk.WindowsDesktop\to...

Re: Web-to-app links handling

Hello, I have discussed this with our development team and it looks like we do not have this declaration (uap5) in Advanced Installer. I have added this improvement on our TODO list and this will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer. Until then, it would greatly help us if you coul...

Re: Do not allow extract installation package

Hello,

I am afraid it is not possible to prevent the user from extracting the MSI out of the EXE package.

Additionally, the MSI itself is similar to an archive, which means the users will be able to extract its' files with a software such as 7-zip.

Best regards,

Re: extended trial period

Hello Ed, I was thinking that, if he originally installed the 15 day trial period 45 days ago and just now is asking for a 15 day extension, is it being turned of because of the "Disable further extensions being set at 45 days? I have tested this and I can confirm that you are indeed right. Her...

Re: Update Product via Command line

Hello, Please note that, as long as you increase the Product Version (e.g. from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 ) and generate a new ProductCode , the upgrade should be happen automatically when the newer setup is launched, either from the command line or with full UI. A major upgrade consists of the: - uninstall of...

Re: License error

Hello Ionut, Please accept my apologies for the delayed reply. You can't use an enterprise type project with Azure DevOps? Azure DevOps should work just fine with the Enterprise project. Could you please make sure that there is no typo in the License Key you have provided? Also, if you used the copy...
