Re: How to edit default ini file?

Hello and welcome to our forums, The default .ini file is created upon configuring settings from the "Java Products" page, "Resources" group, thus it can only be modified from within the "Java Products" page. If this does not help, please give us more details about what...

Re: How to know when a build is finished without GUI?

Hello and welcome to our forums, Our predefined support for building using Advanced Installer through command line (AdvancedInstaller.com) always returns an exit code uppon finishing the process. For a list containing the return codes, you can check our "Command line return codes" article....

Re: Launch attached file issue

Hello Xiao,

Unfortunately, your sent files were rejected by our mail-service because the package contained a .exe file in it.

Can you please upload it on a web-service and send the link by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot com ?

Regards,
Catlain

Re: How can i do this please help?

Hello Habeo and welcome to our forums,

I'm afraid that the message in question is displayed by Windows Installer and cannot be customized from within Advanced Installer.

Re: Windows installer has stoped working

Hello, Thank you for your follow up on this, but unfortunately the last post's details are still not enough to get a conclusion. Can you please send me the .aip (project file) and a "verbose log" of your installation by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot com ? Regards, Catalin

Re: Automatic upgrade old version not working

Hello Thiago, I have reproduced your scenario and indeed, I have encountered the same behavior. First of all, please keep in mind that Windows Installer ignores the fourth field of the Product Version by default. In your case, version 18.6.0.2 is the same as the version 18.6.0.3. Even if the fourth ...

Re: Issues with installing Prerequisites

Hello and welcome to our forums, I have some issues when it comes to prerequisites. In case one is not installed properly, e.g. user pressed (accidentally) cancel when prompted to install, it seems the prerequisite is handled as if installed. In order to avoid this behavior, you can uncheck the &quo...

Re: Prerequisites - Post install setup files do not install

Hello Kiran, Our development team further investigated and it seems that Advanced Installer gets the file name and its extension by parsing the URL string. So, that's why your .EXE file was opened with Notepad, because the file that was downloaded from that URL was actually "software.aspx"...
