Here are the two issues I would like to workaround: 1- The shortcut name is very limited for Control Panel applets! is there a way to increase that limit? 2- In newer ed...

"Mixed 32/64-bit matching the platform"

I'm using AI version 6.5.2 and according to the release notes it should include "Mixed 32/64-bit matching the platform" as a package type. I can't find it! Should I look for it somewhere else? Thanks.

Re: Session.Property("APPDIR") returns NULL in vbscripts

Hi cosmin,

Thanks for the note.
My Custom action was set to "Commit"; that is why I wasn't able to get the property value. I'll give it a try and let you know if I run into any other problem.

How to customize the existing dialogs?

Hi,
Considering the fact that my AI subscription is professional, I was wondering if I can customize any of the default dialogs? (I need to add a check box to one of them ...)
If yes, please tell me how.
Thanks!

I'm using AdvancedInstaller v6.5.2 and my subscription level is Professional. All the menu items related to "drivers" are always grayed out and I have absolutely no way of using them. I followed the instructions in the help file but it didn't help either. Does anybody have any idea how I c...

I tried this multiple times this morning and it didn't work. But after you sent me this reply, I tested it again and it did work this time. Magic!

I really appreciate your quick response.

Thanks again.

CustomAction Problem in Vista

I have an MSI file I have created using AI V5.2. This MSI file needs to Install/Uninstall one Protocol Driver using an embedded installer. This installer is being called using a CustomAction when needed. It's working just fine on all flavors of Windows X86 and X64, but Vista. I created manifests and...
