Hello TImotej, Thanks for your fast response - i confirm that when you do it this way it is alright however You are always welcome! In what regards the PowerShell script, this most probably happens because the script does not have the required privileges in order to change the registry value. In ord...

Re: .NET Core 3.1 prerequisites

Hello Patrick, First of all, please accept my apologies for the delayed reply, but we were quite busy lately. Indeed, you are right, we have not added ASP.NET Core 3.1 as a predefined prerequisite. Although we had it on our TODO list, it seems we somehow overlooked it. Please accept my apologies for...

Re: Prevent IIS Features Being Installed

Hello, Hmm... it also seems to work correctly for me if I create a brand new project in AI 16.7. I am glad to hear this is wroking from a new project. Perhaps there is some metadata (related to IIS) in the project file that wasn't corrected during our upgrade to AI 16.7? Well, I can not say for sure...

Re: using 'ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server' in sql scripts

Hello Steve, Collins, @Steve, In other words we need the ODBC driver to be installed and ready to use whilst we are running our installation program rather than having to be pre-installed before we run our installation program. As far as I am aware we used the same methodology that was in the link t...

Re: Sideloading Appx main application fails to install its dependencies

Hello Karthikeyan and welcome to Advanced Installer forums, I believe you can use the same custom action as described in the article in order to install the dependencies of your .APPX package. One thing to be kept in mind here is the fact that you will need to schedule the custom actions that instal...

Re: Slideshow Display & Dialogs

Hello Linedadelas and welcome to Advanced Installer forums, Can you make the slideshow display full-screen, without showing the taskbar? I'm using a 1920X1080 image but it displays the taskbar and nothing but the background color on the right and left of the image. I am not quite sure I understand y...

Hello Mike, Please accept my apologies for the delay in reply, there was the weekend and also the fact that we are now working from home due to the COVID virus. The msiexec call seems just fine. However, by taking a look in the log file, you can notice that the Product Codes are the same in both ver...

Hello, This is quite strange, indeed. Unfortunately, I can not say for sure why this happens. In order for me to further investigate this issue, could you please let me know which setup you are trying to repackage? Maybe, if possible, could you please forward me a download link for it by e-mail at s...

Re: Install extra files over an existing application

Hello Ed, Thank you for your followup on this. I have now downloaded the 8.0 version of Advanced Installer and I could indeed notice that the option I was talking about is not there. However, I believe we can work this around. To do so, please select the file that you do not want to be overwritten -...
