Additional EXE Properties?

How about more control over the exe properties: company name, description, internal name, and file version.

Are you talking about the Java launcher or the installer stub? In both cases, the version is taken from the MSI version. The other fields are on our todo list.

Thanks,

I really meant the launcher. The property tab for the launcher file doesn't reflect any of the installer-entered data: company, version, description, etc. Those are pretty useful fields for binary file tracking.

Are there any plans to embed the ini file into the launcher exe rather than having both files?

No, there aren't. Do you have a reason to do so?

No good reason, I guess - but it seems "cleaner" to have a self-contained exe. I am guessing that the exe and ini file must match in name - that is how you determine which ini to load. Right?

Can I specify path? when I try \smthing\myapp.exe it's ok, till I start the installation. But installation fails.

Where exactly do you specify that path?

I specify in the product name. Then if you see the tree the exe file is on the right place but msi verification does'n pass I got the error invalid character in myapp.ini file when I start the instalation.

Thanks

In Product Name is not a good place. You can change the Application Folder in the Install Parameters. Would that work for you?

am I right?

That's what I need

I see what you mean. Yup, that is not possible yet, but are planning this feature for a future version. Basically you'll be able to move the files anywhere else you want.

I cannot give you a time estimate for completion though... :-)
