More dialogs...

I need the following dialog in my setup:

1) A dialog asking for product activation which sends an email to my company.
2) Select an SQL server from a drop-down list of available servers.
3) Select shared network paths.
4) Specify a user name and password for a NT Service
5) A very flexible custom setup dialog:
-application features can be exclusive or not
-application features can be available (selectable) or disabled (grayed-out and un-selectable by the user)
-each application feature can have its own path
-features can have subfeatures
-description and required disk space for each feature
6) A post installation dialog giving the user the option to install desktop icons, view readme files, launch application, reboot.

I also want to be able to create removable (and visible in the add/remove programs) patches.

When you implement all of this, you'll probably charge 2000$+ for it, but i would pay for sure.

Hi Vlad,

Support for features (including selection dialog) will be added in the 1.7 version.

A dialog designer is on the todo list for a later version.

So some of your wishes will be fulfilled. But certain requirements need a custmizability that is hard to achieve in an install package. And Microsoft suggests that their place is NOT inside the install package, but instead in the product itself.

For example, the product activation dialog which also sends an email - maybe that should happen first time you run the app, not in its install. Etc.

Best regards,
