Hi,

In order to determine the location of yahoo messenger you could schedule a search for a specific file or folder that comes with YM. Advanced Installer comes with a wizard that will help you set up this search in notime.

If the object of the search is a file you must use a custom to retrieve the correct path of YM. The path returned by the search contains the filename also.

For more details on how to do this please see:
http://www.advancedinstaller.com/forums ... php?t=1052

After that in the "Files and Folders" page create a property based folder and add your file here.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

Best regards,

thanks alot ciprian for answer.
object of the search is a folder that i want to add a new icon to that folder.
in search page i added a new search for folder ( with wizard ) and set searching to search on "all fixed drives" in depth of 15.
after that in "files and folders" i wanted to add a "property based" folder too add my search item, and i got a "exception-unexpected exception" error.
i tried to use the method on the link u told me to check out. but i got same error,
thanks again
