Build Error ...\Advanced Installer\setup.exe] could not be

I am using the 3.9 trial version. The progress bar gets to about 80% and the log shows: "Creating EXE file ... error. Exception - Reason: File[C:\Program Files\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\setup.exe] could not be read."

The file does exist . . . any ideas?

Hi,

The Setup.exe file from Advanced Installer working directory is used when you create an EXE setup file. So please check if the setup.exe file is there or is not used by another application. Also please tell us if you can reproduce this error on other machines.

The file does exist: "C:\Program Files\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\setup.exe". How could this be used by another application? I have not installed this on another machine. The original AIP file was created with AI version 3.0. Can I get version 3.0 from your website?

Hold the presses. It was an issue related to readonly, but it was not setup.exe, it was the target exe. Unchecking read only solved the problem. If the error message did not say setup.exe and said something else like "your installer.exe" I may have been able to figure this out sooner.
