Installation path problem

Hi..

I have problem with folder path.

The software installation is multilanguage.

On folder path screen there I have problem that if I have enabled folder path, that this path is not used, but default set in installation settings.
So what is wrong, that installation setup do not use this folder path on installation. If anybody has the same problem and also solution I would be happy..

Hi,

I'm not sure why you encounter this problem. This may happen if you do not add your files under the "Application Folder" from the "Files and Folders" page, or if you change the value of the "APPDIR" property later during the installation.

The default path is:

C:\FOLDEROFAPP

can be this problem?

Hi,

If that path is set in the "Install Parameters" page, it should not be a problem. However, if you have a property-based folder called "FOLDEROFAPP" and your files are placed into that folder, then indeed, the installation path cannot be changed on the "FolderDlg" dialog, you need to place your files in the "Application Folder" folder.

To have a better view of your problem, can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and a verbose log of the installation to support at advancedinstaller dot com, so we can investigate them?

Hi,

As I expected, your files and folders are not placed under the "Application Folder" in the "Files and Folders" page.

So, in order to achieve what you want, you need to go in the "Files and Folders" page of your project, than drag and drop the "Windows Volume -> SShop" folder and place it under the "Application Folder" folder.

I did that, and also I added dialog for folder change... but now installer fail when installing...
