MSDE

I have an application that uses MSDE2000a.

I need to check for and install MSDE if it is not already installed.
I would like to use merge modules but, I'm getting an error "Not a valid instance"

Please you please provide an example.

As a side issue, there seems to be a real lack of documentation for this product.

It's a great product! But if it had a clear example of how to build an Advanced Installer project for .Net, MSDE etc I would have purchased this product already.

Depends in which form does MSDE come.

If it is a Merge Module (MSM), just add it to the Merge Module page. If it is a EXE or MSI, add it to the Media > Prerequisites page.

To add extra properties to the project you'd have to add the properties to the .AIP file by hand.
