Upgrade to 20.9.1 issue

There seems to be a problem which has been introduced since an upgrade from 20.8 to 20.9.1. Within the Organization -> Features and Components section, we used to have the Features defined at the top:

Features at top.png (46.97 KiB) Viewed 10654 times

...but now I can also see them defined at the bottom as well:

Features at bottom.png (12.51 KiB) Viewed 10654 times

This results in a duplication of the options when running the installer. Is there any idea when this can get fixed up?

I'm afraid I do not quite understand your scenario here.

If possible, could you please give me a step-by-step test-case (with expected and actual results) so I can follow it and run some tests on my end?

This is to clarify the issue in more detail.

Back when we were using 20.8, AI would create an installer which ended up giving the user a choice of features to install:

But after an upgrade to 20.9 and then 20.9.1 the choice presented to the user gets mangled to this:

...with the feature options becoming duplicated below.

After looking at what the problem may be, I noticed that the change appears to be related to the Organization -> Features and Components section.

Back in 20.8 AI would show this section as below:

But looking at this same page in 20.9 looks the same at the top, but also shows the .msi files duplicated at the bottom:

So I'm not sure what happened between 20.8 and 20.9 but it looks like its messed up my usage of the Features and Components.

If possible, please forward me the following resources:

- a copy of the AIP file that you used with version 20.8 (the one that you convert to 20.9 and this issue happens)

- a copy of the AIP file that you used with version 20.9/20.9.1 (the converted one)
