[Version 20.9.1] - Issues with the Microsoft Express 2019 pre-requisite installation

I updated the version to 20.9.1 but the pre-rek installation for the SQL Server Express stopped working, which was working just fine earlier. Errors attached.

Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. We greatly appreciate your feedback. There is a problem installing the SQL Express prerequisite with the full UI in Advanced Installer 20.9.1.

I want to inform you that our development team is already aware of this issue and actively working on a fix. Rest assured that your concern is receiving the attention it deserves, and we are committed to resolving it as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on the progress and notify you once the fix is available.

As a workaround, can you please use a non-attended (silent) install command line for your SQL Server prerequisite, like this:

/qs /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /SkipInstallerRunCheck /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQLEngine /INSTANCENAME=SQLEXPRESS
/UpdateEnabled=False

you can also use the /q parameter.

and let me know how this works now?

This issue has been fixed on our side, but unfortunately it did not catch our latest release, Advanced Installer 21.0.

I have forwarded the fix to Satish via email.
