SEH_AV_READ_BADPTR after Advanced Installer Upgrade 21.0.1

We have been using Advanced Installer for many years and updating our aip since 12.3.1.
Last years we have been running 17.1.1 without problems, but now we've upgraded to 21.0.1.

Running the installer only shows an empty welcome screen, and in Advanced installer, when trying to load the Welcome Screen, we get an access violation:
