File not being installed.

Hello,

I have an MSI installer inside another installer. When I install, the MSI installer file does not get copied. How to fix this?

Re: File not being installed.

Hello K,

This is indeed quite strange.

Please make sure the component assigned to your MSI file is not conditioned and its condition being false.

Additionally, if you are performing an upgrade, please make sure the new version of the MSI is higher so the file gets overwritten.

Also, is there a reason why you are trying to copy the MSI locally? Do you not plan to install it? If you plan to install it, it would be better to add it as a prerequisite.

Re: File not being installed.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I have contacted the support team by email, and they gave me the solution.

It would seem that I have set up Server/Client dialog. The files that I add are not going to the correct feature in the Organization pane. I was told to move the files to Common feature.

This fixed the issue.
