Controlling multiple shortcuts

Hi,

We have an application that installs several shortcuts in the Windows start menu. One for the main program and a few for various utilities. After the installation Windows will highlight one of the installed shortcuts as seen on the screenshot below

In our case one of the utility shortcut is highlighted. Can we in any way control which shortcut is highligted?

Hello Per,

In order to achieve what you want you can take a look on our "Uninstall shortcut issue" thread.

Let us know if this helped.

Re: Controlling multiple shortcuts

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your hint. It seems to work, but some of our users have reported back that they get warnings like this:

It does not seem to be a persistent problem.

Any ideas?

Re: Controlling multiple shortcuts

Hello Per,

This seems to be a Windows Installer issue. Please take a look on "Warning 1946" message article. However, the installation process should be successful.

All the best,
