Update only error

Hello Caphyon team,

We are using advanced installer to distribute our software. We are issuing our new relase and have thus generated a new installer with the updated exe and files.
Everything works perfectly except the in-app update wich gives a generic "installation failed" message at the end. The program however is installed successfully.

- Installing the app on a clean machine works alright
- Installing the app from the downloaded installer over an older version of the software works alright. If the software is already open, the installer automatically asks to close the app.
- Launching an old version of the software, then trying to update it via udpater.exe seems nearly works fine :
=> update is detected
=> update is downloaded
=> program is closed
=> update is installed
=> *** Generic error message is displayed ***
=> New version is launched

Note that the software does run perfectly afterwards.

Do you guys have any idea on what might generate such an error, or how we could generate more debug output to track it down.

The updates failing problem is explained in the link-ed article from our FAQs area. It is just a small misconfiguration from your updates configuration project, more details on how to fix it are in the article.
