My application uses the year as the major number in the version string ex: 2012.0.0
Is it possible to use this as the version string? If not, what workaround can I use?

Hi,
Unfortunately you can't use this type of version specifier. You can see details about the "Product Version" in the
Product Details Tab
article.
As a workaround you can use for example: 1.0.2012
