uninstall process does not remove all files and folders

Dear All,

I am evaluating AdvancedInstaller 9.8, why uninstall process does not remove all files and folders completely?
I have tried to use Cleanup wizard but no luck

I'm not sure why you are encountering this behavior. Can you give us more details about your scenario (maybe exemplify)? Also, can you attach a sample which reproduces the behavior or can you give us a detailed step by step test case scenario so we can try to reproduce and investigate the behavior?

Hi,

What I did was:

install my application in c:\program files\myapp
then uninstall it from control panel -> add remove program
I check the folder and it still there with some files inside..

I tried to install on the other folder .. (ie. c:\test\myapp) and all files and folders are deleted when uninstall..

what wrong?

Hello,

Can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and a verbose log of the uninstall (when the related installed files aren't removed) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them?

Also, please keep in mind that the related resource files and folders could not be removed if they are used by another applications. If it is the case, then you should use different installation path for the related applications.
