Automatic uninstalling previous version

Hello, I made an installer for my application and now I want to make an update, in the same project I change the version of the application to a newer one and delete unnecessary files, and those files that have been updated are replaced with more than new versions. Next, I generate the update code and build this package, but when I install it, it completely removes my application and then copies the updated files, how can I ensure that it does not delete the previous version of the application but just copy the updated files?
