Hi, Note that you can condition the shortcut component directly by using the "..." button next to the "Condition" textbox in the "Component Properties" page. However, if you use a feature for the shortcut, then for that feature you set the install level to 0. In the &qu...

Hi, After further investigation we realized that this is not a bug of AI. What happens is that PostgresSQL uses 2 MSI packages (one of them is a launcher), therefore AI sees only what the launcher does. Since the install MSI creates the registry keys (and not the launcher) AI sees the newly created ...

Hi,

This is a bug of Advanced Installer which will be fixed in a future release. A workaround is to clear the comments in the package before every install.

Hi,

This is Windows Installer behavior. You need to set the "Permanent" attribute to make sure that component doesn't get deleted on uninstall.

Hi,

We cannot reproduce this behavior on our test machine! The test package you have sent us builds successfully under an administrator account.

Try to reproduce the problem on another computer (under an account similar to yours) and let us know if the problem persists.

Hi,

You can use the dialog editor to create and modify a dialog in a wide variety of ways. Note that you need to create a Enterprise project (which requires an Enterprise license) in order to use the dialog editor!

Hi,

Please send us an archived test project with dummy files reproducing this behavior to support at advancedinstaller dot com. The archive must include the .aip files for both images (target and upgraded) and the .aip for the patch module.

Hi, Please give more details about this! Do you want to perform these changes during the installation? Modifying XML files is not supported by Windows Installer, but this can be done by using a custom action. This feature is on our TODO list and will be available in a future release. Regards, cosmin

I cannot reproduce this behavior on my test machine. Note that AI can import .reg files created only with Windows 2000 or greater.

If the problem persists please send the .reg file to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can take a look.
