I am looking for an installer that will be able to automate the installation of an ASP.NET website. I have read through the features of Advanced Installer on this site, but I wanted to make sure that it could do everything I need before I try it out. Can it do the following:
- allow user to select target drive/folder for installation
- copy all files from installation media to target drive/folder
- create new web site in IIS 7.5
- create an app pool and modify settings like Target Framework, Pipeline Mode and Recycling settings
- set specific folder level permissions on particular folders
- create a desktop icon and maybe even a Program Menu icon that is a shortcut to the site
- edit the HOSTS file (the application will run locally)
- edit the website bindings in IIS to use a specific host name
