Hi,
I want to have Update 4.0.3 for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600211 as prequiste.
How can I check if this has been installed? Any ideas? How can this be checked?
Does this update writes a regkey, or check an file?

Hello,
You can use a detection criteria in the Searches section from the Prerequisite Install Conditions tab of your prerequisite. You should also edit the Required Version according to your scenario.
You can use a Registry value containing a version as a Criteria and use something like
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full\Version as a Registry Value
