How to build repack of another repack ?

Hello,

So I've downloaded a repack, I wanted to change somethings in it, remove some files, change some options during install.

I extracted the .exe file and inside I got a .mst, .msi and a folder with bunch of files.

I removed the files from the folder that I didn't want to be installed. Then, I opened the .mst file in AI, removed all the references to the files I removed, made some other changes and saved the .mst

Can't figure out what am I suppose to do next. I just want build a .exe package that includes all the files just like the original repack.

I watched many videos and read tutorials but I'm not getting anywhere.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: How to build repack of another repack ?

Hello and welcome to our forums,

First of all, please note that the MST file is not the installation file - it is a transform file.

If you want to repackage the EXE, you could use our Repackager tool.

This tool basically installs the setup on a machine and compares the snapshot before the installation and the one after and it will import all the files and changes into an Advanced Installer project.

You can then use that project to add files, remove files and build it into what you need.

How do I repackage an application from inside a virtual machine?

How to repackage your application in Windows Sandbox VM

Hope this helps!
