Advanced Installer 23.9 Release Notes
On July 22nd, 2026 Caphyon Ltd. is proud to announce the release of Advanced Installer 23.9 in Free, Professional, Enterprise and Architect editions. This release is available for download on the Advanced Installer website.
Advanced Installer 23.9 introduces Expected Identity OID for Updater certificate validation. This new option allows Updater to validate Microsoft Artifact Signing certificates using the certificate policy OID associated with the verified identity. It provides a more reliable alternative to matching certificate subject fields that may change after renewal.
By validating the expected identity OID, updates can continue to be trusted even when certificate details such as the subject fields change during certificate renewal.
Want to see how Expected Identity OID works? Watch our video tutorial to learn how to configure this new certificate validation option.
