Hi,

I'm afraid fixing the projects requires manually editing them into an XML editor, and the fixes differ. If you would like we can fix them for you,
just place them in zip and send it to us.

A workaround is to use version 8.5 in parallel with 8.6 for the projects that present the error ...

Thanks for the reply. The path is not coded in the project.
I have a file search defined for sqlcmd.exe which is on the machine.

Not sure why, but I removed the allowed min and max versions from the search and it seems to work now even though the sqlcmd.exe on that machine fell within ...

Getting a 2363 error doing a search for a file

Hi, I'm getting the following error in the install log when doing a search for a file that has to exist before the install can continue.
The search is configured to use the [WindowsVolume] property and searches 10 folders deep. The OS is Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP1

Hi,

Is there any way to control/change the fonts/colors of the Prerequisite diaglogs? Our company banner and dialog images setup on Global Properties are dark blue and the black font on the Prerequisite dialog is barely readable with those backgrounds, and I can't find that dialog in the UI ...

I need to have a SQL install that runs some .SQL scripts to create tables etc. then it needs to run a .BAT file to BCP data into the tables and then it needs to run more .SQL scripts.

I'm afraid that this is not supported by Windows Installer. However, you can try setting the properties through the package command line .
