Repackager Reboot

OK, I have found an answer. When running the Repackager Wizard, on the Customize Settings screen, click the blue link "Create a new installation capture profile".

Check the box next to "Prompt and wait after installing the package". When the installer prompts you to reboot, click no, reboot later ...

Repackager and Reboot Not Working

Hello,

I have a legacy installer that requires a reboot. Unfortunately, the Repackager is not capturing the reboot correctly. When the setp program gets to the "Yes I want to resart my computer now..." screen, if I restart, Repackager does not run again. If at that screen I ALT-TAB to the ...

I think it works

OK, I created an installer, here is what I did, and it seems to work.

1. Extracted the files from the CAB file.
2. Created new project in AI.
3. Under files and folders, added windows\downloaded program files folder.
4. Copied the dll, inf, rll files into this folder, left the CAB file in the ...

Installer for ActiveX CAB file

Hello,

Trying to package an ActiveX control into a windows installer.

I have a CAB file with and .inf file, a couple DLLs, and several .rll files in it. I would appreciate any advice on where to start.

Registry & File Permission Inheritance

Hello,

It would be great if you could set the perms on a parent folder or registry key, and set the inheritance flag for child objects. Setting the permmissions on every subfolder and subkey is a lot of extra work.
