When i copy an AIP file and modify it, does the installer detects this as the same software product even if you change the name or product version number ?

File associations
Hi,
when i add a file association in a project will an existing association on the system be overwritten ?
f.e. AutoCAD *.DWG
I want to create this file association when it doesn't exist on the system but do not want to overwrite when it already exists.
