1. Installation Project
2. Update Project

The installation project gets it's version # automatically from the Product Information/Product Details/Version (retrieved automatically from the selected executable). This is what I want and is working great ...

Update Project -> Registry Value\Expected Value

It would be nice to have the option for the Registry Value\Expected Value read the version as in the Product Information\Product Details\Version automatically.

Currently we have to manually adjust the update Registry Value\Expected Value manually each time a new version is created. This would save ...

I received a response from the support team. I was using an Active Setup in my install and this is what was causing the issue. Once I removed the Active Setup everything worked as expected.

I'm creating a new setup that is targeted as a Per User install. The install is very straight forward, nothing special about it. The application is a Winforms C# application built in Visual Studio 2022.
