Re: Varying folder locations

Thanks for your reply Liviu. I'm actually unsure if it answers my problem or not.
If I read it correctly it seems to be affecting the install path (the appdir) but that wasn't what I was asking about (I probably didn't explain very well). What I am asking is if I can use a registry key to set the ...

Varying folder locations

I'm wondering if there is a way to vary the path of an installed folder. So, is it possible to check a registry entry and if it exists use it as the path to install a folder and files, if it does not exist use a default path? If so, please explain how. (Professional version)

Thanks
Ian

Re: False Positive in Norton

Thanks for replying.

I have submitted the latest build to Norton and waiting for their results, they say it can take up to 48 hours.

However, the point is that I'm in ...

Folders and Product ID's

I'm confused by the folder names under "Resources/Files and Folders". There is shown a folder "Windows Volume/Windows/System 64" which does not exist, however there does exist the folder "SysWoW64" which isn't shown, are these two the same thing? Likewise the program shows "System 16" which doesn't ...

A few Questions

Hi, I'm just trialling Advanced Installer but hit a couple of problems which I'm hoping someone can help with.

I need to build an installer for a legacy Visual Basic 6 application. I used the wizard to open that project and it did an almost reasonable job of importing it. There are a couple of ...
