Package type ARM64 for merge modules

Hello,

I am trying to create a setup for ARM64 and have some merge modules of type x64. using this in the ARM setup failed wiht the error "Error: Merging 64bit module into 32bit database." what I supose is because the x64 package cannot be merged in the arm64 setup.

Is there a way to overcome this, or it is planed to offer the package type arm64 also for merge module projects?

If possible, could you please provide one of your x64 MSM files by email at support at advancedinstaller dot com so I can run some tests on our end?

Also, I am assuming you encounter that error at build time (please correct me if I'm wrong).

The email is underway. It contains the MSM file I am using and also a simple arm64 project containing it. When building the project you will see the error.

After further investigations, it looks like this is not possible. The Windows Installer does not allow merging a 64-bit merge module into an ARM64 project type.

Yes, that is why I was asking if there are plans to include the arm64 configuration for merge modules within advanced installer.

So far, I have not been able to find a merge module with its type being ARM64, so I'm not sure if this is possible, either.

I will discuss this with our developer and see if anything can be done about your request.
