windows feature dont change

I am making a feature bundle for windows feature as a prerequisite. I checked enabling .NET Framework 4.x advanced services >>WCF Services.
I create the installation, install it on the machine but it doesn't change the feature after intall on client machine.

Am I doing something wrong?

Re: windows feature dont change

Hello and welcome to our forums,

I'm not sure why this happens.

Can you please reboot the machine and check if the feature has been enabled?

If not, can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and an installation log by email to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can further test and investigate this?

Also, please send us the build number and version of the machine's operating system where you can reproduce this.

You can create an installation log by launching your setup package with a command line like this:

Code: Select all

msiexec /i setup.msi /L*V "D:\installLog.txt"
when using an MSI package type, or a command like this

Code: Select all

setup.exe /L*V "D:\installLog.txt"
when using an EXE package type.

Best regards,
Liviu

Re: windows feature dont change

Hello Rodrigo,

I'm afraid that what you want to achieve might not be possible when building an MSIX package.

"Prerequisites", when it comes to MSIX, are called "Dependencies".

When it comes to "Dependencies", I'm afraid MSIX does not support Windows Features, as per the following thread:

Allow Windows Features to be specified as Dependencies and enable them during the installation
