We’ve been successfully using Advanced Installer (Professional Edition) in our packaging process, and in earlier versions, we were able to configure our MSI builds to include multiple CAB files embedded within a single MSI (with multiple cabs inside it).
This was essential for us because:
- We required specific files to be included in a second CAB, not based on automatic size-based splitting.
If I choose "Advance Cab Layout" option then it automatically choosen the package type as "MSI with resources next to it". But we want to create multiple cabs with sinlgle msi and the resources inside it.
We'd like to understand:
1. Has the feature for multiple CABs in a single MSI been deprecated or moved in version 22.3?
2. If not, where can we configure this behavior now?
3. If this feature was removed: Are there any recommended workarounds or scripting options we can use to achieve the same result?
We appreciate any guidance you can provide on how to restore or replace this functionality in the latest version.
Thanks in advance for your support!
