Unable to generate license key

For some reason license key is empty in Advanced Installer 22.0. How to fix this issue?

Hello,

There might have been a problem in that specific version of Advanced Installer regarding this, because I have tested this using the latest version (23.0) and it worked as expected with your AIP file.

Could you please give this a try using the latest version and let me know if that helps?

Hello,

In the end, it looked like this was indeed an issue on our side.

At first, I tested on my VM on which, as you can see, I was not able to reproduce this issue.

After that, I tested on my own machine again because other users also reported this and I managed to reproduce it.

I have forwarded this to our dev team and a fix is available for this. Here is the download link for a RC of Advanced Installer that contains the fix:

Hello,

The fix is available in the 23.0.1 version I provided.

If you have an active Maintenance Plan (that also covers support, besides application updates), you should be able to download and install the version.

If you want, you can download an older version of Advanced Installer and use that instead.

All you need to do is go to the Customer Information page:

enter your license key and download the older version.

I don't get it. I have installed the version (22.0) already on the machine, but the license generation stopped working. I am not sure why.


I am not able to use the new version because of this issue.

Hello,

The fix is available starting with our latest version 23.0.1. Since version 22.0 was already released prior to this change, it does not include the fix. This is the normal behavior of updates.
