Hi all, I’m running into an issue where my Advanced Installer project installs cleanly when “Create new” but fails during upgrades. The error says the “Product Code” is already in use, even though I’ve bumped versions and GUIDs. I’m using MSI, not EXE wrapper. Has anyone else seen this during major version upgrades?

Did you generate a new ProductCode when you created the second version (v6.x)?
Two products with the same ProductCode can not be installed on the same computer. Windows Installer will check the installer's ProductCode to see if the product has been installed on the machine.
If you have changed the product code and are still experiencing issues, can you please send us the .AIP (setup project) files by email to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can further test and investigate this?
