AI License ...

It is to my understanding that the current Advanced Installer license is per user. Our company has a CM system in which all builds are produced. This system is not accessed from one account as we have various CM personnel. However, we noticed that AI is maintaining the license on a per user basis, rather than on a per system basis. This is extremely inconvenient as we don't know which person will be available at the time a build is needed. So must we actually have to purchase a license for every user using the same system, even if there is only one user using the software at a time?

Hi,

The Advanced Installer license is per-developer (not per-system). This means that your company requires an Advanced Installer license for each developer (user) which uses Advanced Installer.

For example, if two different developers (users) use Advanced Installer to build installation packages, you need two different licenses (one for each developer).

Therefore, to answer to your question, you need to have a different license for each developer (user) which uses Advanced Installer, even if only one developer (user) uses the build machine at any given time.
