PATH System Environment Variable ...

I would like to see the next release include an entry in the PATH system environment variable to point to the relative path where Advanced Installer in installed.

This would make things easier for my makefile so that I don't have to change the physical path to the Advanced Installer location everytime a new release is installed.

Thanks!

Hi,

We will consider including this feature in a future version of Advanced Installer.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Any idea on when this will be included? I was hoping for the 6.1.1 release, but it didn't seem to get included.

This issue gets a little tedious when working in a multi-developer environment with multiple products.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm afraid I cannot give you an ETA for now. Also, this feature will not be implemented in the near future because it has a low priority compared to other features.

Note that during the Advanced Installer installation you can set the installation folder. This way you can set the same folder each time a new version is released in order to keep the PATH environment variable unchanged.
