JAI installation

Hello,

For my application to run, I need to install Java Advanced Imaging (JAI). I have an executable for the installation of JAI, and I tried to run it as a custom action. However, during the JAI install, I get an error from the Sun installation that another installation is running at the same time (my AI installation). Is there a way that I can bundle the JAI executable with the AI install file and have it run immediately after the AI install is completed so the two installers don't conflict?

(Lastly, the JAI installation MUST take place after the JRE installation, if needed).

Thanks,

Patrick

I realized that the appropriate place to do this is in pre-requisites, not custom actions. However, I still need to know how to set the order of installation of the pre-requisites. If the JAI is installed before the JRE, my program will not run properly, and for some reason the JAI is always installing first.

Thanks

Ah... there is a small issue in the Prereqs today that thir order is random and it can't be saved.

We are striving to fix this in the next release (2.6).

When is the 2.6 release expected? Do you know of any workarounds?

In a month or two.

No workarounds I'm afraid... sorry.
