can I stop GUID entry in the registry & Uninstaller crea

Hi ,
I am developing an installer which will simply copy few files into shared network drive for the use by multiple workstation. But in that case the Advance installer leaving footprints in the registry for GUID of each Component.

I dont want it to happen. Since automated copy ( copying using installer) needs no uninstaller and registry entry.

Please someone help and suggest me that what I need to do ?

Hi,

If you only need to copy some files the simplest way is to use a small program, script etc.
Windows Installer must leave traces in order to be able to undo it's actions.

All the best,
