Suggestions about Patch project and Update

Hello,
I have the following suggestions, I hope you will adopt.
1. In the Patch project, Can split each item in description into each new Tab in this page to order to write and view?
2. Can increase support to the "Update" that to download from multi-websates? And have the ability to the item in updater.ini can to based on the different components?

I'm not sure I know what you are referring to. Can you please give me more details about this?

We have this feature on our TODO list and it will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer.

Now, in the Description tab, Description, Features, Enhancements, Bug Fixes, 4 Items was placed on the same page. It's very crowded. if enter a too long text to this textbox, it's not easy for write and review. I would like to separate it, which is a tab for each item.

For example, in a multi-language versions, each language file is placed in separate functions, the user can choose to install some of language (Users may only install one language). Then the need to download different language-packages for has been installed language from the same Website or a different Website at update.

For sample, a English Version Update need to download from A site, and a Chinese Version Update need to download from B site. Or the need to download different language-packages from the same Website.

In addition, can add a new feature that to uninstall other programs to Updater? For example, before the installation of a update, to uninstall some programs that can't be uninstalled by new package.

Please note that this is usually handled by the update package (for example through a custom action).

Please note that for each update you can specify any URL you need. Therefore, each update can be downloaded from any website you want.

The problem is that the update URL of each language-packages is in different features, this update URL in updater.ini will be empty if one of features has been uninstalled. Therefore, this INI file need to support the multi-URL and multi-component.

Hi,

Please note that the component of the updater can be shared by multiple features. For this you can follow these steps:
- in the "Files and Folders" page select the updater INI
- right-click on it and select the "Go to component" context menu
- while the SHIFT key is pressed, drag the component of the updater on another feature

This way the component of the updater (which contains the updater executable and the INI file) will be shared between features.
