Repackage Features

Hello, i'm new here so sorry if this already exists but i searched for it and didn't find anything.

Can you/is it possible to add these features to Repackager:
1. Scan services, compare what service added and add it to list. << Would be a great feature.
2. Automatic driver adding. << Scan files and make a list of .inf files scanned and prompt user to select whitch files are drivers and add them to project OR automatically check .inf file for driver entries or smth. and add it to project. This also would be great feature too.

Advanced Installer is the easiest MSI builder i have ever used. I love it.

Re: Repackage Features

Hi,

I added these improvements on our TODO list and they will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer. Thank you for your suggestions.

Re: Repackage Features

I just wanted to ask how AI manages the capture of Application Data folder? I'm a beta tester on Microsoft and usng Windows 7. On it there is *:\ProgramData (Hidden) folder containing some Application Data folder whitch on xp is found on *:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data. There is a registry entrie referencing to *:\ProgramData ?
Or Windows Vista uses this folder too? (I have never used Vista)

Re: Repackage Features

Hi,

The location of "Application Data" is the same for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Since Windows Installer detects its path automatically through the AppDataFolder property, the folder should be found on all Windows versions which use it.

Re: Repackage Features

Is it possible to disable the Upgrade message? I want to make a fully unattended (just progress bar, limited to basic user interface) without any command line setup, but when the installed app version is newer or equal it throws a message "A most recent version of ResHelper is already installed on this computer". I don't need this message, i just need it to exit instead of showing a message.
