Download Pre-requisites to Temp Folder

Hi,

I really like the Pre-requisites feature of Advanced Installer. However, there appears to be a major limitation when using the URL download feature... According to the documentation and by my experiementation, it is only possible to download the file to the a folder relative to the location of the installer itself. This is a major problem, as the installer may be located in a folder where the user only has read-only permissions; for example, a network drive. I would really like to specify that the file is downloaded to the user's temporary folder (using [|TempFolder]), which should always be read/write.

Hi again,

Should have looked a little closer; I can see there is a Browse button to select the folder where the files will be downloaded, so this does solve the problem. However, it might still be nice to allow a default to be supplied using the standard folder names as I originally suggested (especially for silent installs).

Hi Ben,

Please note that this feature is already available. In the Software Prerequisites tab you have the Options group.
Here you can find the edit box "Download Folder" in which you can specify the folder "[TempFolder]" (without the character '|').
